We the above media group emphatically condemns the response by the deputy minister for Energy Hon Owuraku Aidoo in a circulating Audio which is described as unfortunate and verbal attack on the media.
Flashbacks. The Energy Minister Hon John Peter Amewu recently addressed the media on the anomalous and intermittent supply of Light which according to Ghanaians was an Element of “DUMSOR” so Hon Amewu addressed Ghanaians through the media about Cause of that cut off in the power supply but a day after the press conference, Our Sister Station in Accra OKAY FM on their Morning Political Program “ADE3 AKYE ABIA” hosted by Kwame Nkrumah Tikese3 wanted to throw more Light on the issues discussed at the Press conference where he call The deputy minister Owuraku Aidoo on phone so that, He can disintegrate the topics for Ghanaians to understand but His response to the Host was a direct insult and a forbidden reaction to Journalism as a profession.
Hon Owuraku Aidoo through his response labeled the approach of the Host as “Nuisance” so we want him to Officially announce his apology to that effect because, the country uses tax payers money to pay him so Ghanaians also need explanations from his ministry if something baffles them.
And failure for him to announce his official apology to the Host and the media as a whole will attract another steps from us to satisfy our demand because, Physical assaults and Verbal attacks on the media becoming Rampant and it’s time to debeak those perpetrators.
